Superformance Shelby GT40

Superformance acquired drawings and templates from Kar Kraft and started production on their GT40 in 2004. Metal roof panels and chassis components are stamped in house. The chassis is then fully assembled and welded on custom laser aligned jig. Nose, tail, doors and side sill covers are hand laid fiberglass. Suspension A-arms are tig welded and upright castings are 5-axis CNC machined in house. The GT40 is built under license from Safir GT40 Spares and is included in the SAAC registry. Some creature comforts like air conditioning and leather interiors were added.
Dennis Olthoff tested the first production GT40 in 2006 in South Africa validating shock and spring combinations that would be suitable for street and track use.
The first 6 dealer demonstrator cars were completed at Olthoff Racing with Roush crate engines and ZF transaxles. We have completed over 200 GT40 rollers at our facility.
We can supply anything from street to full FIA vintage specification race cars.
